Microblading Procedure Pre-Care Instructions

For microbladed brows to look their best, our canvas (skin) must be properly prepped. Pre-Care instructions are given to limit bleeding and skin sensitives during the service. The healthier our canvas, the better the results. Excessive bleeding during the procedure will dilute the pigment and lead to poor results. Compromised skin will also result in poor retention. Be sure to follow these tips for the best healed results possible.

  1. Do not workout 24 hours before the procedure.

  2. No caffeine the day of your procedure.

  3. Do not take an aspirin or ibuprofen for pain relief beforehand (this thins the blood).

  4. Avoid sun and tanning at least 1 week prior to the procedure (no sunburnt skin).

  5. Avoid fish oil, prenatal vitamins, or any supplements with Vitamin E, 3 days prior to the procedure.

  6. Facials, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion should be discontinued 2 weeks prior to the procedure.

  7. Refrain from use of any Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) products close to the eyebrow area 2 weeks prior (and avoid on eyebrow area after procedure).

  8. Botox and filler near the eyebrow area should be done at least 3 weeks prior to your appointment.

  9. No brow waxing, tinting, threading, or tweezing 1 week before the procedure (the more hair the better!).

  10. No alcohol 24- 48 hours prior to the procedure.

NOTE: During your menstrual cycle you will be more sensitive.

*Please note, not following these instructions may result in your appointment being cancelled or rescheduled. Skin health is particularly important to the microblading process.
